Sonal Mansingh Sonal Mansingh is a famous classical Indian dancer and one of the leading performers of Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi and Chhau. In addition to being a dancer, Sonal Mansingh is also a famous choreographer, teacher, speaker and social activist. Uday Shankar Uday Shankar initiated a unique classical dance renaissance movement in 1930. Although he had no formal training in any classical form, his presentations were innovative. Uday Shankar used the essence of many different traditions and techniques in his dance plays and managed to present a composite work.


Yamini Krishnamurthy Yamini 'Poornatilaka' Krishnamurthy, better known as Yamini Krishnamurthy is a famous Kuchipudi and Bharatnatyam dancer. She is also considered to be the torchbearer of the Kuchipudi dance form. She began her career with a dance performance in 1957, at the age of seventeen.
